Himalaya PondSHIELDTM is a proprietary formula with a unique blend of probiotics and herbal actives to improve pond water quality and the overall well-being of cultured species.
Key Ingredients
Probiotic blends with 3-tier Protection
- Probiotics – Probiotics improve water quality as they possess denitrifying properties which reduce nitrates to nitrogen, decreasing effluents or pond bottom pollution. Probiotics reduce infection in aquatic animals by inhibiting the growth of pathogens.
- Bacillus subtilis
- Bacillus licheniformis
- Cellulomonas cartae
- Pseudomonas denitrificans
- Rhodococcus sp.
- Saccharomyces boulardii
- Prebiotics
- Phyto Actives
- Azadirachta indica (Nimba) exhibits antibacterial properties against pathogenic bacteria. It helps in reduction of biofilm formation due to Zingerone, which has anti-quorum sensing effects.
- Zingiber officinale (Sunthi) is known to have prebiotic potential and has been tested for prebiotic activity. Its high polyphenol content enhances the growth of beneficial microbes.

Directions for Use
Inclusion ratio
Pond Application:
- Pond Preparation: 1 kg/ha of the feed
- During Culture: 400-600 g/ha of the feed once every 7-10 days
Mixing ratio can be altered based on stocking density, phytoplankton density, DOC, water, and pond bottom condition, or as advised by an aquaculture specialist.
Method of application: Mix the product with sufficient pond water and broadcast it evenly into the aquaculture pond.
